What is an Infojock?
First and foremost, we are sports fans. Not just Pittsburgh Penguins fans or Lebron fans or NCAA Tourney fans (all of which we are, coincidentally), but fans of the games themselves. We love sports—we love the stories, the histories, the emotions, the players, the cheap seats and the luxury boxes, the triumphs of skill and the blooper reels, the crushing defeats and, of course, blacking out from screaming so loud after overtime goals. And because we are also dorks, we love the aesthetics and statistics of the game—striping patterns on uniforms, bizarre boxscore oddities, and putting phenomenal sports accomplishments into perspective with a little statistical elbow grease. But then again let's face it: all sports fans have a little dork in them. We don't mind painting up faces, compulsively hunting down team memorabilia, or standing in a bar and talking ERA's and YAC's and PIM's late into the night. All of this rambling make sense? Then you are undoubtedly an Infojock. To inquire about our team or just chat about NBA free agency or whatever else is on your mind, hit us up here.
What does Infojocks do?
We take boatload of sports stats, analyze them, chart them, and spit them out in beautiful little infographic packages. Our goal is to create sports memorabilia that can do more than just hang on a wall. We want our products to be conversation pieces, valuable references, and a way of remembering everything you love about sports. And most importantly, we want to provide you with fantastic and interesting pieces of artwork for the walls of your den, dorm room, office, bar, or anywhere else you kick back and root for your team. Oh, and also, we occasionally just like to kick back and draw.
What is an infographic?
An infographic is a visual representation of information and data in a way that presents complex information in a simple, easily readable way (paraphrased from Wikipedia. For more examples infographics, check out our friends at Cool Infographics, Data Vis, Smashing Magazine or just gander over to the Wikipedia article on the topic. All of our infographic sports work, editorial and otherwise, is available at our Flickr page and Tumblr blog.
Who is Infodude?
Infodude is the easiest way to keep track of what's new at Infojocks. He announces sales, points you towards new products, and occasionally offers a quip about the current sports landscape. Oh, and he's from Pittsburgh and when he blows his nose, black and gold comes out. So if you are from Cleveland or like the Patriots, you'll probably think he's a big fat jerk. For other ways of staying in touch, check out the next question.
How can I get the most from Infojocks?
Of course, since watching ESPN is our job, we come across a lot of awesome sports links, pictures, and other stuff. We think it's our duty to share it with you to give you a leg up in office water cooler discussions. Sound like something you'd like? Be our friend on Twitter, Flickr, or Facebook, get in on our newsletter, and most importantly, compulsively follow our blog.
Return policies? Shipping? Other official-ish stuff?
At Infojocks, we know that customer service is the most important aspect of any business. We offer full returns at cost of shipping to the buyer unless you aren't satisfied with the quality of our product—then it's on us. We always ship within five business days of your order. If you are outside of the United States, we'll work with you to get a poster (we just love the idea of our work hanging on walls all over the world, so we'll figure out a way to make it happen). Any questions or concerns, feel free to get in touch with us. We'll do our best to make you one satisfied dude.
